Summer Sores (aka Fly Sores) is a skin disease caused by infection of the skin by the larvae of the stomach worm Habronema (a common stomach worm). They cause severe itching.

How do you know if your horse has summer sores?

Look for one or more open and draining nodules. These are usually found on:

  • Penis
